Retail Tobacco Products Dealer Permit
The Smoke Joint operates pursuant to a valid Florida Retail Tobacco Products Dealer permit issued by the Florida DBPR, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, as required by Florida Statute §569.003. Our permit is renewed annually on or before January 15th.
Minimum Age — Florida Statute §569.101
It is a criminal violation under F.S. §569.101 for any person to sell, deliver, barter, furnish, or give tobacco products, nicotine products, or nicotine dispensing devices to any person under 21 years of age. Our staff verifies the age of any customer who appears to be under 30 years of age.
Required Florida Posting Notice (F.S. §569.14): "THE SALE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, NICOTINE PRODUCTS, OR NICOTINE DISPENSING DEVICES TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 IS AGAINST FLORIDA LAW. PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED FOR PURCHASE."
Florida Clean Indoor Air Act (F.S. §386.204)
The use of tobacco products and vapor-generating electronic devices is prohibited in enclosed indoor workplaces in Florida. As a retail tobacco shop, our stores are among the limited exemptions permitted under Florida's Clean Indoor Air Act.
